Barnacle does not collect, store or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in and no server.

What the app stores. The codes you scan (the barcode contents and the type of barcode), the names and groups you give them. All of it is kept only on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Camera. Barnacle asks for camera access so it can read the codes you choose to save. The camera feed is processed on the device and is never recorded or uploaded.

Apple Watch. Codes are copied from your iPhone to your Apple Watch over Apple’s device-to-device connection. They travel only between your own devices.

Purchases. If you buy the unlock, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Barnacle does not receive your name, payment details or any other personal information from it.

Analytics and tracking. None. No analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no third-party SDKs that phone home.

Children. Barnacle does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data. Delete a code in the app, or delete the app. Because nothing leaves your device, that is the whole of it.

Changes. If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with an updated date.
